Davis Indicted in Tupac Murder Case
25-Year Investigation Leads to Grand Jury Decision
Trial Set for 2024
After decades of frustration for those who wanted justice for the beloved rapper, authorities announced Friday that a Clark County grand jury has indicted Duane Keefe D Davis, 60, in the 1996 murder of Tupac Shakur.
Las Vegas authorities are slowly revealing some of the evidence they have against Davis, who they say orchestrated the fatal shooting.
Police claim they have known of Davis' involvement in Shakur's murder for 25 years, but were unable to gather enough evidence to charge him until recently.
The trial for Davis is scheduled to begin on June 3, 2024, a Las Vegas judge ruled Tuesday.
Davis, a former gangster linked to the incident, has admitted to knowing who shot Shakur, but has not yet revealed their identity.
